TODAY AND FRIDAY Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition BENTON - A display of the creative efforts of Arkansas artists in kindergarten through the 12th grade will end Friday at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. The works are award winners from the 50th annual Young Arkansas Artists Competition and Exhibition conducted at the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock and feature four Saline County artists. TODAY - SATURDAY Corvette Club Weekend HOT SPRINGS - The 2012 Central Arkansas Corvette Club Weekend will be held today through Saturday at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Registration will begin today, and various events, including a parade, will be held Friday. The cars will be on display Saturday at the convention center. Contemporary Art Exhibit ARKADELPHIA - Ouachita Baptist University’s contemporary art exhibit by artist Thomas Morrissey at the Arkadelphia Arts Center will end Saturday. This is a display of random-selection images that have been framed by the artist’s eye and captured through his camera lens to render snippets of daily life. The free exhibition is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

FRIDAY Bean Supper Fundraiser MALVERN - The Hot Spring County Salvation Army will hold its annual bean supper from 5-7 p.m. at the Malvern Community Center. The proceeds will provide prescriptionassistance, emergency dental visits and assistance with gas vouchers for out-of-town medical appointments for folks in Hot Spring County who qualify. Play Auditions BENTON - Auditions for Nobody’s Business, a musical written by Dr. Sam Taggart, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday at the Royal Theater, and again at 4 p.m. April 29 and at 7 p.m. April 30. Those auditioning should prepare a song to sing and will read from the script. The play focuses on the love stories of five couples immersed in the Delta sharecropper strikes of 1935-36.
