Main Street Farmers Market

Arkansas Fallen Heroes Traveling Memorial
BEEBE — The Arkansas Fallen Heroes Traveling Memorial will be on display July 1-8 at the intersection of Dewitt Henry Drive and ASU-Beebe Boulevard, beside the Advanced Technology and Allied Health Building at Arkansas State University-Beebe. The memorial was founded by Rob Hopper of Wynne as a tribute to his son, who died Jan. 26, 2005, in western Iraq after his helicopter crashed. The memorial is also a tribute to all Arkansas natives who have fallen in the line of duty. Displaying the memorial is one of several ways the Arkansas Run for the Fallen organization honors heroes. Civil War Exhibition
FAIRFIELD BAY — Fought in Earnest: Civil War Arkansas, a free traveling exhibit chronicling major historical events in Arkansas between 1861 and 1865, will be displayed from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and June 21-23, at the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center, 130 Village Lane. The exhibit contains 15 free-standing banners that showcase images from the Arkansas History Commission’s holdings. Original documents, photographs, maps, drawings, paintings and artifacts illustrate the story of the Civil War in Arkansas.
Third Thursday Farmers Market
FAIRFIELD BAY — The Third Thursday Farmers Market will be open from 9-11 a.m. June 16 and July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15 and Oct. 20 in the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center Courtyard, 130 Village Lane. T Tauri Movie Camp Registration
BATESVILLE — The T Tauri Movie Camp, which offers a wide variety of video-production workshops for aspiring filmmakers up to the age of 18, is accepting registrations for the 12th annual summer youth program, which will take place July 18-30 in Batesville. Summer Reading Program and Story Hour

SALEM — The Fulton County Fair Association is accepting reservations for commercial booth space for the 2016 county fair. Booths will set up in the new Salem Civic Center from 2-5 p.m. July 25 and remain in place until 7 p.m. July 30. Inside booths are 10-by-10 feet for $60, plus $5 for electricity. ASUN Summer Hours
NEWPORT — Arkansas State University-Newport’s hours of operation have shifted to its summer schedule: ASUN’s campuses in Newport, Jonesboro and Marked Tree will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 11. With the exception of White River Hall on the Newport campus, all ASUN offices and locations will be closed Fridays. Events that are already set to take place on Fridays during the summer will go on as scheduled. ASUN will resume normal operating hours Aug. 15.

POCAHONTAS — Davidsonville Historic State Park will present Lyrical Lessons: Music in the Time of Davidsonville from 7-8 p.m. June 25 at the park, which is a 15-minute drive south of Pocahontas on Highway 166. Join the park interpreter outside the new Visitor Center for an exploration of some of the many ways music helped shape life during the time of Davidsonville. Youth Fishing Derby
NEWPORT — The 2016 Youth Fishing Derby will take place June 28 in Lockwood Park on Malcolm Avenue. CONCORD — The Concord Parade and Fun Day will take place July 2. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. Entries will line up at the Concord Gym parking lot, and the parade route will be from the school to the city park, with all activities held at the park. School-Bus Driver Training
BATESVILLE — The University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville will offer a training course for those who want to pursue a commercial driver’s license with a school-bus endorsement.
