Bentonville junior athlete Kam'ron Mays-Hunt showed why colleges are taking a look at him by gaining 96 all-purpose yards in an overtime loss to Kansas City Rockhurst on Friday.
He had 3 receptions for 32 yards, 1 carry for 10 yards and 2 kickoff returns for 54 yards in the 24-21 loss. He also had 2 unassisted tackles and a pass breakup at cornerback.
Mays-Hunt, 6-0, 165, 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash, recorded 53 receptions for 556 yards and 7 touchdowns as a sophomore and was named the All-Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Newcomer of the Year. Arkansas, Auburn and Arkansas State are showing interest.
