Authorities: 30-year-old killed when pickup hits 18-wheeler on I-30 in Little Rock

One person died in a traffic crash along Interstate 30 in Little Rock on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Later that day, state police identified the man killed as 30-year-old Justin Lambert of Beebe.

According to a preliminary report, Lambert was driving a 2015 Chevrolet behind a 2012 Volvo when the Volvo slowed because of a crash ahead, and the Chevrolet struck the vehicle.

Photos from the scene showed a black pickup crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler.

State police said the weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the wreck.

At least 353 people have died in crashes on state roads this year, according to preliminary data.
