A cash register containing no money was stolen from a North Little Rock eatery early Tuesday, according to police.
Officers responded to Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant at 4154 E. McCain Blvd. shortly before 8:30 a.m.
A report from the city's Police Department states that the business's glass door was "smashed" and a rock was found in the bar area.
A cash register was missing, but an employee told authorities no money was in it. Surveillance footage showed two people enter the restaurant "by force" shortly before 1 a.m., the report states, and one left with the register.
Officers noted that a piece of the missing till was found later that day on a road "near downtown."
No suspects were named and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
