Description

Please join us for the Veterans 4 Ag Summit: Empowering America's veterans to grow America's food, fiber, and forests, designed to educate and train military veterans about potential careers in the agriculture and forestry fields.

At the event, veterans will have access to resources and networking designed to help them get started in agriculture and forestry. With an economic contributions of $20 billion and $6 billion annually, agriculture and forestry have many opportunities for Arkansas's veterans.

Leaders in both agriculture, forestry, and veteran affairs will be present to participate in two panel discussions: 1. Where do I start? (the first steps in breaking into agriculture/forestry) and 2. Opportunities in agriculture/forestry (why America's veterans are a great fit for the nation's food, fiber, and forestry industry).

A showcase of agriculture/forestry and veterans organizations will provide attendees with networking opportunities and the chance to speak to industry partners one on one.

Special guest speakers will address attendees during the complimentary breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration begins online 1/10/18. Check-in begins at 8:00 am the day of the event, with breakfast at 9:00 am.
