Cucurbits

The many members of the Cucurbit family include Arkansans’ favorite foods — watermelons, cantaloupe, summer squash, zucchini, pumpkins ... Most have yellow flowers, and all have flowers that are male or female. Each flower lasts only one day. Female flowers have a little fruit behind them; males leave nothing behind but the stem when they drop off.
